WELCOME TO MY PORTFOLIO
Thanks for stopping by my portfolio. My name is Joshua Goh, and I'm a game designer, focusing on mechanics and quest design, with some small forays into level and narrative design. My favourite thing about designing games is crafting engaging experiences that create a lasting impression on the players who play them.
ABOUT ME
As a child, I was always interested in games, and I quickly became enamoured with how they work, and began creating my own questlines and characters for the games I played, which escalated into creating unique games using pen and paper.
This led me to pursue a Bachelor's Degree in Game Design, where I had the opportunity to design a variety of games throughout my course, and managing to win awards for a couple of them. These projects allowed me to secure my first job, and kickstart my professional game design career.
As a designer, I enjoy making games that create a memorable experience that will stick in the minds of those who play them, and I have been focusing on mechanics and quest design, proposing and creating engaging mechanics and gameplay sequences for the games I have worked on, in order to craft the memorable and enjoyable experiences I love to make.

In my personal life, I often enjoy many creative things, whether through pursuing them myself (photography), or through consuming them (watching movies, TV series and of course, playing video games). I also love going outside and exploring new places, never leaving without my camera(s) and always aiming to gather new experiences that could shape the games I design, or my approach in designing them.

MY WORK
All of the major projects I have worked on
END OF THE LINE
Set in a cyberpunk future, End of the Line is a time-loop game about a man trying to prevent the train he's riding on from exploding. Using only the knowledge he gains every time he dies, he must find a way to stop the explosion from happening once and for all.

This was my final university project, created in 2022, and was the winner of the Best Student Game award at the SEA Game Awards 2022.
FAÇADE: MURDER AT THE MASQUERADE
A murder has occurred at the Maximillian Mansion! As the local detective, the player investigates the murder at the mansion in a point-and-click puzzle game. Players investigate the mansion for clues and interrogate suspects to uncover the truth behind the mansion owner’s death.
This was my second major university project, and won the silver medal at SIGG 2021.
DR.GUNTER'S
CLINIC
Dr Gunter’s Clinic is a 2D, turn-based RPG game where the player plays as Doctor Gunter, a doctor who specialises in using his big guns (aka muscles) to punch and destroy any kidney stones that may be affecting his patients.

This was my first major university project, created in early 2021.
